Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. This day is free to rest. Meals are not included.

Day 2: Lima – Puerto Maldonado (Entrance to the Amazon)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado (flight not included). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the river port to begin your Amazon adventure. You will navigate the Madre de Dios River by motorized boat to the beginning of the trail leading to the lodge. Then, you will hike through the forest until reaching Lake Sandoval, where you will continue by canoe through a flooded forest to your accommodation. After lunch and a short rest, you will learn about the lodge’s history and take a first exploration of the lake by catamaran, where you can observe a large number of birds, especially macaws in their natural habitat. At nightfall, you will go out in search of black caimans and, weather permitting, enjoy a starry sky in the heart of the jungle. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3: Lake Sandoval (Wildlife and Nature)

Very early departure to observe the sunrise over the lake, an ideal moment to spot giant otters and various bird species. After breakfast, you will enter the forest to learn about Brazil nut trees and their traditional harvesting. In the afternoon, continue exploring the lake, where you may observe monkeys and other species in their natural habitat. At night, optionally, you may take another night walk or wildlife excursion. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4: Amazon Rainforest (Deep Exploration)

After breakfast, you will cross the lake to enter primary forest areas, where you will observe a great diversity of flora and fauna alongside your guide. You will visit areas where it is possible to see concentrations of macaws and parrots, as well as walk along interpretive trails where the biodiversity of the area will be explained. In the afternoon, you may relax or continue exploring trails, medicinal plant gardens, or birdwatching areas. Before sunset, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the sunset over the lake. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 5: Puerto Maldonado – Cusco

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (not included). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel where you will be offered coca tea to help with acclimatization. You will have free time to rest. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at a restaurant with a show (included). Includes breakfast and dinner.

Day 6: City Tour in Cusco

Free morning to continue acclimatization. In the afternoon (from approx. 1:45 p.m.), the city tour begins visiting Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Qoricancha, and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends around 6:30 p.m. Includes breakfast.

Important: This program includes the Inca Trail, so it is mandatory that the passport details provided match exactly the documents you will present during the trip. Any discrepancy will prevent entry without the possibility of a refund.

Day 7: Inca Trail Start – Piscacucho / Huayllabamba

Departure from Cusco to km 82 (start of the trek). After registration, you will begin the hike along the Inca Trail. During the journey, you will visit the archaeological site of Llaqtapata and continue to the campsite in Huayllabamba. This first day is for adaptation to trekking. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 8: Huayllabamba – Pacaymayo (Most challenging day)

This will be the most demanding day of the trek. You will ascend to the highest point of the Inca Trail, Abra Warmiwañusca (4,200 meters above sea level). During the hike, you will pass through different ecosystems, including cloud forest. Then descend to the Pacaymayo valley where the campsite will be set. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 9: Pacaymayo – Wiñay Wayna

Hike along ancient Inca paths, visiting archaeological complexes such as Runkurakay and Sayacmarca. Continue to Phuyupatamarca and descend impressive stone stairways until reaching Wiñay Wayna, where you will spend your last night camping. This day combines history, nature, and spectacular views. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 10: Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu

Very early, you will begin the hike to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), from where you will have your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu, one of the most anticipated moments of the trip. You will descend to the citadel for a complete guided tour. Then go down to Aguas Calientes and return to Cusco by train. Includes breakfast.

Day 11: Final Departure
