Day 2: Lima – Cusco + City Tour

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (flight not included). Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel, where you can enjoy coca tea, recommended to help with acclimatization to the altitude. You will have free time to rest; it is important to avoid physical exertion and heavy meals during the first hours to prevent altitude sickness (soroche). In the afternoon (approximate start 1:45 p.m.), we will begin the City Tour visiting Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), as well as archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends around 6:30 p.m. in downtown Cusco. Includes lunch. Optional: buffet dinner with folkloric show.

Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Incas (Full Day)

After breakfast, we will pick you up around 8:15 a.m. to begin the tour of the Sacred Valley. You will visit the Pisac market, a place full of tradition where you can observe and purchase local handicrafts. You will also explore the archaeological site with privileged views of the valley. Then we continue to Urubamba to enjoy lunch at a tourist restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with original streets and water channels still in use. Finally, we will visit Chinchero, known for its textile heritage and traditional Andean market. Return to Cusco around 6:30 p.m. Includes breakfast and lunch.

Day 4: Machu Picchu + Overnight in Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, transfer to the train station heading to Aguas Calientes. The journey takes approximately 4 hours and offers spectacular views of the Sacred Valley and the transition to the jungle. Upon arrival, you will take the bus to Machu Picchu citadel (20 minutes). You will enjoy a guided tour through the main sectors such as the main square, the Temple of the Sun, the sundial, ceremonial areas, and residential sectors. At the end, you will have free time to explore on your own and take photos. In the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes where you can rest at your hotel or, if you wish, visit the hot springs (not included). Includes breakfast and lunch.

Day 5: Machu Picchu – Cusco (Optional free day)

This day you will have a free morning. You may choose to take a second visit to Machu Picchu on your own (not included), ideal if you want to explore additional routes such as Inti Punku (Sun Gate), Huayna Picchu, or even the challenging ascent to Putukusi Mountain (subject to physical condition and availability). In the afternoon, return by train to Cusco, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Includes breakfast and lunch.

Day 6: Cusco – Puno (Route of the Sun)

After breakfast, transfer to the station to begin the journey by tourist bus to Puno. Then continue to Taquile Island, where you will experience traditional Andean life, learn about local customs, and enjoy a typical lunch (trout). It is important to note that the walk can be demanding due to the altitude. Return to Puno in the afternoon. Includes breakfast and lunch.
