Description
This is a relaxed 2-day, 1-night tour along the southern coast (Paracas, Ica, and Chincha) with departure and return to Lima. It combines marine biodiversity on the speedboat tour to the Ballestas Islands, a gastronomic and wine experience in Ica and Huacachina, free time for rest and personal enjoyment in Ica, and a closing with Afro-Peruvian folklore and traditional tasting in Chincha. It is an ideal alternative for those looking for a short, flexible trip with relaxing moments without an overcrowded itinerary.
DAY 1: LIMA – PARACAS – ICA – HUACACHINA
Departure points in Lima:
- 04:10 AM: In front of Los Olivos Municipality.
- 04:20 AM: Plaza Norte.
- 04:50 AM: Av. Aviación 2410 - 2420 (Intersection of Javier Prado and Aviación Avenues).
- 05:20 AM: Larcomar in front of the JW Marriott Miraflores Hotel.
- Hotel pickup in Miraflores: Schedule to be confirmed upon prior coordination.
- 06:00 AM: Mall del Sur – Próceres bridge.
- Departure: Head towards the Paracas Seaside Resort in tourist transport from the chosen meeting point (approx. 4 hours of travel).
- 09:30 AM: Arrival in Paracas and transfer to El Chaco dock to depart for the Ballestas Islands in modern speedboats.
- Tour to the BALLESTAS ISLANDS (approx. duration 1 hour 45 minutes): observation of wild marine fauna such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black cormorants or guanay, flamingos, parihuanas, and various seabirds nesting on the rocks.
- Appreciation of The Candelabra geoglyph with a guided explanation of the various hypotheses regarding its formation.
- Free time for those who choose to stay and enjoy the sun, sea breeze, and local gastronomy at the seaside resort restaurants.
- 12:00 PM: Departure bound for the city of Ica.
- 01:00 PM: Arrival in the city of Ica.
- Lunch: At passenger's own expense.
- Liquor tasting: Guided tasting of the main products produced at the winery (wines, piscos, pisco creams, infused liquors, and mistelas), accompanied by typical dynamic expressions from Ica.
- Sweets visit: Tasting at LA CHOCOLATERÍA NOELIA (traditional chocoteja, alfajores, jams, artisanal cookies, filled mousse, etc.).
- 03:00 PM: Excursion to the HUACACHINA OASIS (5 km from downtown Ica) to enjoy the tranquility of the lagoon, walk around its surroundings, and take photographs.
- Accommodation: Overnight stay in Ica.
DAY 2: ICA – CHINCHA – LIMA
- Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and free morning for personal activities or rest.
- 05:00 PM: Departure bound for Chincha.
- Cultural stop in Chincha: Optional visit to Bodega Racimo de Uvas to appreciate negroide dances (weekends), enjoy wine/pisco tasting, and try typical delicacies from the area (frejol colado, picarones, tamales, etc.).
- 07:00 PM: Departure bound for the city of Lima.
- 10:00 PM: Arrival in Lima at the origin point (the final arrival time depends on group progress and route traffic).
- Final return: Transfer to hotels in Miraflores (prior coordination required).
