Description
Upon arrival in Cusco you will be able to visit the most important places that this magical city full of history and energy has to offer you. Next, you will visit Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Accommodations are carefully selected to make your stay memorable.
- Day 1: City Tour. We will pick you up from your accommodation at 1:30 p.m. to transfer it to our tourist mobility. Next we will begin the City Tour, we will visit the temple of Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and then we will begin a tour of archaeological centers such as the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, a majestic place with impressive stone works, some of up to 120 tons. Q'enqo (Labyrinth), religious center dedicated to the cult of the Earth. Puca Pucara (reddish place) which was used as a military control center, and a mandatory stop for all travelers since Inca times. - Day 2:Sacred Valley of the Incas + Buffet. We will pick you up from your respective hotel/accommodation to begin the trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a tourist bus. On the guided walk to the Citadel of Pisac you will be able to see temples, residences, altars, canals, carvings, tunnels, grottoes and the famous Inti Huatana “La pillory of the Sun”. In case you prefer to have more time at the market instead of visiting the ruins, let your guide know so he can arrange a time and place to pick you up when you return through the market. We continue to Urubamba where we stop to enjoy a buffet lunch, then we will head to Ollantaytambo, a fortress surrounded by sacred mountains. Here you will rediscover the magnificence of the Inca constructions, the incredible temple of the sun, huge blocks of stone perfectly carved and polished, stone water fountains, stairs, terraces and the beauty of the local population with their costumes typical, all surrounded by the sacred mountains and the Patacancha and Willoq valley. Upon our return, we will quickly visit the famous church and archaeological site of Chincheros. We will be arriving in Cusco at 7:30 p.m.
- Day 3:Maras, Moray and Salineras (Half Day). We will pick you up at your hotel/accommodation to begin the trip to the mystical town of Maras, here you can visit its famous Salt Mines, and you will also have enough time to take your respective souvenir photos and shopping. After a short journey we will visit the archaeological center of Moray, a place where we will appreciate circular Inca terraces that formerly served the function of acclimatizing products brought from other regions. Here you will be given time to take photographs. Continuing with the tour we will go to Ollantaytambo, a place surrounded by sacred mountains, you will have some free time and at night we will go to its station where we will take a first class train to the town of Aguas Warm, you will spend the night here to climb the next day to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
- Day 4:Machu Picchu Full day. The day starts early, first we go to the bus station to make the one-way trip to the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Once there we will begin the visit observing the great landscape that surrounds this wonder, you will observe the beauty of its Temples, shrines, enclosures and stairs that connect it, the different plans of this wonder, you will hear the story about the Incas who built the buildings. Machu Picchu is in itself an exaltation of stone, the visit time on a guided tour is 2 hours and 30 minutes, at the end of the guided tour you will have time to take photos and tour the places that he liked more. Next, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch and shop. Finally, we will return to the town of Ollantaytambo on a first class train, where a private vehicle will wait for us to take us back to the city of Cusco.
